The Renault Driver Development Programme welcomes
Johnson Health Tech UK LTD |

|
|
The RDD (Renault Driver Development) Programme is pleased to
announce a principal partnership agreement with Johnson
Health Tech UK LTD, a distributor of Matrix Fitness Systems.
Created in 2002 by the Renault F1 Team, the RDD programme
aims to spot the most promising young drivers of tomorrow.
Today’s drivers are considered true athletes. Therefore, the
RDD programme provides its drivers with rigorous sporting
and physical training. In order to do so, the programme
welcomes a new technical title partner: Johnson Health Tech
and renamed its Human Performance Centre facility the
Johnson HPC.
The entirely renovated Johnson HPC – located at the Renault
F1 Team’s technical centre in Enstone – will assist the RDD
drivers in achieving the level of physical fitness that is
required to meet the demands of racing.
Daryl Coombes, Johnson HPC Manager and RDD trainer
commented, “We are very pleased to welcome Johnson Health
Tech as Official Title Partner in our programme. It is
essential that we are able to work with only the very best
partners in the field of fitness. Our commitment and drive
towards excellence in all aspects of physical training will
be enhanced by the Matrix products. The sleek design and
biomechanical structure of their machines will take the
training of our drivers to another level. We are confident
that our drivers will be working out on the latest products
to maintain their demanding levels of health and fitness.”
JHT UK’s shared values and commitment means that the RDD
drivers will benefit from their knowledge and experience in
providing advice and recommendations for the appropriate
choice of fitness equipment to suit individual fitness
goals.
Jamie Burton, Managing Director of JHT UK stated, “The RDD
Programme recognizes that the physical fitness of their
racing drivers is now more important than ever. For the
drivers to achieve that extra performance over their
competitors, they need to put the extra in. At Johnson
Health Tech we can give the young Renault drivers the edge.
We design and market premium exercise equipment, combining
the highest levels of quality and performance. This
partnership symbolises the Johnson Group’s global standing,
associating ourselves with such a great success story as the
Renault F1 Team. We are always looking to align our products
and our company with sporting greats and partners such as
the Renault Driver Development Programme and the
Professional Footballers’ Association who, like Johnson, all
strive to achieve excellence in what they do.” |

Just 10 minutes of moderate-intensity
exercise can help individuals suffering from depression and
anxiety by improving their confidence and self-esteem, and
by providing positive distraction and coping skills, reports
the Mayo Clinic HealthSource.

When most people
think of the benefits of exercise, the first thought
in their minds would be a better physique. But did
you realize exercise has several benefits which can
help improve your overall quality of life? Virtually
everyone, regardless of age, sex, race or physically
ability can enjoy the benefits of exercise.
Exercise can even help
you have a better night’s sleep. A good night’s
sleep helps maintain your physical and mental
health. The Mayo
Clinic HealthSource reports, moderate
exercise at least three hours before bed time can
help you relax and sleep better at night.
Adding a modest
amount of exercise into your daily life can
significantly improve your health and well-being.
Regular physical activity is effective in
preventing and managing a wide range of ailments
such as: coronary artery disease, high blood
pressure, certain types of cancer and stroke.
According to researchers at the Baker Heart
Institute, in Melbourne Australia, working out
regularly can reduce high artery-clogging “bad”
cholesterol levels by increasing the “good”
cholesterol count. They found that healthy-hearted
athletes had higher levels of “good” cholesterol
than non-athletes.
Exercise also
helps out with weight management,
building strong bones and muscles, boosting your
mood, increasing your stamina, managing stress,
maintaining mobility, and most importantly extending
your lifespan. In a study of Harvard graduates, men
who burned 2,000 or more calories per week by
walking jogging, climbing stairs, or playing sports
lived an average of one to two years longer than did
those who burned fewer than 500 calories per week by
exercising.
Exercise doesn’t
have to be pain and sweat and can be a part of your
regular daily activities. Achieving a higher level
of aerobic fitness can be fun. You can supplement
your regular work out regimen at you local facility
with other activities. Begin with
something light and gradually work your way up to a
more moderate activity. When you’re ready to take
that final step, your local facility will be there
to assist and support you in reaching your fitness
goals.
